Lower Owens flows are 453 cfs - still fishable but not easy. Fishing is still fair to good, much tougher to wade in a lot of spots. Weather is HOT in the Bishop area - in the 100s by noon. Use Tricos/ Caddis early, then move to Baetis late morning. These will be your most productive patterns for the first half of the day. Try Caddis in the late afternoon into the evening along with Tricos. The Gorge above the Pleasant Reservoir is also a great spot with plenty of opportunities for wild Brown Trout 12-16. You will have to hike to reach this area. It is mostly pocket water and pools. Beware - rattlesnakes may be present. Carry plenty of water. It may be best to fish these areas very early as the hot weather is a big problem this time of year.

Nymphing Patterns: Try nymphing in the mornings with WD-40s and Brassies, then go to Bead Head Pheasant Tails, Olive Surface Emergers, Barr's wet emergers or RS Emergers. Sizes 18-20s epoxyback Trico's 18-22s.

Dry Fly Patterns: Small midge patterns,Tricos and Caddis pattern 18-20s.

Attractor Patterns: Small Stimulator, Yellow Stone. 16s
