Dave Kirby reported that an ice fisherman told him that there is about 10 inches of ice. Looks OK for ice fishing but use caution when venturing out on the ice. That fisherman fished on Saturday and Sunday and caught rainbows, up to 16 inches.

The cold weather and a plant of 1,750 pounds of trout last week has turned on the fishing. Another ton is going in this week. Henry Yamaoka of Gilroy caught the big fish of the week, a 12-pound, 10-ounce trout. Right behind that catch was Domingo Sarmiento of Union City, who caught a 10-11 trout.
