CADFG has planted most of all the trout around 400,000 last season and a mild winter has help these fish grow. Conditions on the lake have improved greatly this week, as the warm weather returns, it has brought the water temps up to near perfect temps. The water is in the low 60s midday and plenty of midges are hatching. Southwest side of Mcgee bay, Sandy point, Six bays, Hilton areas have been producing with both streamers and Midging Tactics. Fish are holding in 10-16 ft. of water and 13 ft. is the good starting point. The water conditions are clear for the most part but the little pea dots of alge are present. Look for the next 3 weeks to be great on Crowley.

Use common sense when driving on the backside of the lake, as there are areas where the ground is very soft, and a tow truck will be costly.

High temps in the 70's and lows in the upper 30's.

Nymphing Patterns: Black or Gray Midges with copper or red and silver wire have been the best, size 16-18s. Callibaetis Nymphs size 16. Brown and Olive leechs getting some good strikes!!

Streamer: Olive leeches and Wolly Buggers, Damsel fly Nymphs. Callibaetis Nymphs all have been working.
