The bite on the reservoir also seems to have slowed a bit, with reports coming in from anglers getting into fewer fish than a few weeks ago.
There are, of course, still some fish being caught, with some good 4- to 6-pounders being landed each day.
There is some bait action in the East Walker, Robinson, and Buckeye channels, as well as off Rainbow Point with pinched crawlers, inflated nightcrawlers, Mice Tails, and PowerBait. There are still a few anglers getting fish trolling with Thomas Buoyants, small Rapalas, and nightcrawlers.
If you plan on doing some trolling this year, I would get down there by the end of July. The water level is dropping pretty quickly.
Remember, you can still launch at the other end off the shore at the Bathtub, but use caution and I recommend a four-wheel drive.
Bridgeport Marina will continue renting boats throughout the summer until the water level gets too low.
For more information, call Bridgeport Marina at 760-932-7001 or stop in at Ken's Sporting Goods in Bridgeport.
Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question. a report in our local fishing area or have a photo of your catch, send it to nevada@fishreports.com. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
