WEATHER
Boy what a difference a week makes. It has turned really cold this weekend. Daytime temps in the 50's with nights to 21. Wind picked up a lot and with the temps it was tough to be outside for long. Sunday is beautiful and the weatherman says it will be warming up for the next several days.

SOUTH LAKE
With the cold weather the lake is still ice covered but there is a lot of water showing up around the shoreline. The brave hearts fished a nice open hole or walked around to the inlet and did real well. Fishing was good with Nightcrawlers or Salmon Eggs. Some action with lures but best with worms.

BISHOP CREEK
The creek was great lots of nice limits coming out. Water flow is low which it appears will be the case this year and the fishing was excellent. Nightcrawlers were best with a little action using light Panther Martins or Trout Teasers. Most anglers hit the creek this weekend because they could find a secluded spot away from the wind. It was basically a tough weekend to fish but most people were happy with the results.

NORTH LAKE AND INTAKE II
North Lake did well with some nice limits coming out again using Nightcrawlers was best. A couple of nice larger fish but the majority in the half-pound range. Salmon Eggs did pretty well too.

Intake 2 was great. Lime Powerbait seemed best with good action using Nightcrawlers. A few nice fish caught with olive Wooly Buggers, but most anglers were using bait. Intake was pretty busy because it was out in the sun and a little warmer than the creek in the shade.

BIG FISH
James Medlock of Ukiah landed a nice 5lb. 3oz. Rainbow from Bishop Creek

Jeff Burk came in from Yucaipa to bring in a 4lb.8oz. Alpers Rainbow from Bishop Creek using jigs.

Jim Parker of Temple City used Nightcrawlers to coax in a beautiful 3lb. 7oz. Alpers from Intake 2
