The East Walker is still hanging in there these days. There's been very little pressure on the river since the regular season closed, in fact for the last couple days there hasn't been anyone down there that I know of. The last few reports we have received have been pretty good though. It seems the fish are running from about 12 to 18 inches mostly, with a few 20 plus fish here and there. The best action has still been with small green nymphs, serendipity's, micro mayflies, green Z-wing caddis, light bright rockworms, green WD-40's and the like are doing the best. There's also been some good streamer action here and there, which is pretty typical for this time of year. The weather has still been pretty nice, cold in the early mornings but warming up nicely during the day, of course this could change at any time. So for now I'd say it's a great time to work the river, have most of it to yourself, and get into some really nice fish! Hope to see you soon!!
