Well, I'm back from Montana, for the time being. It sounds like the last couple weeks of fishing have been pretty good overall. Bridgeport closed up with a bang, the last couple days treated the trollers really well. A couple anglers reported 20 fish days trolling near the surface with Rapalas and the like. Lots of browns and rainbows up to about 5.5lbs. No hogs, but plenty of fish in the 3 and 4 pound range. The Twins produced a 12 pounder towards the end, this was the biggest confirmed fish I know of. We heard rumor of a 16 pounder at the Upper, but didn't get to see the fish or any photos yet. Most of the reports from Kirman towards the end were also really good, the only bad ones we heard were mainly due to bad weather and not enough fishing time. Most of the fish being caught were cutts, with several well over 20 inches. Quite a few anglers had reported 15+ fish days.

The East Walker has been fishing well also. The DFG has decided to leave the river open for C + R for the winter, so there's still opportunity to get some great winter angling in. Of course the flows are very low, 21 cfs. This is pretty typical for this time of the year, and I would guess it will remain this way well in to at least February. By no means does this shut down the fishing, it merely requires you to change your tactics a bit. Lately the streamer fishing has been good, zuddlers, hornbergs and mini leeches are doing well, also small green nymphs like tailwater tiny's, wd-40's, PT's, z-wing caddis, 3-wire caddis are all doing well. The fish seem to be ranging from about 12 to 18 inches mostly, with a few over 20 here and there. The same goes for the Nevada side, it's been fishing well also, with mostly the same type of patterns. The crowds are very light this time of year, and so far the weather has been pretty mild. It's pretty tough to fish sometimes when the temps are too cold, but it's been t-shirt weather so far this month. Andrew is still available to guide the river for you this winter if you feel you need the help, or company, give us a call and we can get that set up for you. 760-932-7707. Also, if you need any other information or anything, just give us a call and we can help you out!

See ya soon.

Don Meier of Mammoth has lost the cover to his boat near Bridgeport Reservoir, if anyone has any information or can help out with that Don would really appreciate it. His information is on the front page of kenssport.com under the "Recent Article" section.?ĮThanks.
