This is the confluence of Pine Creek/Rock Creek into the river section of the Owens just downstream of the powerhouse. Flows can change here quickly from snow melt.

The Powerhouse, & confluence of Lower Gorge into the Owens. You will observe tremendous turbidity, & high flows emanating from the chute when hydro electric power is being generated.

This beautiful brown crunched a Parallel Assassin fished below an Under-Cator in the slow moving transition section.

Angler Tyler Nikolic from Murrieta, CA caught and released this Brown Trout (estimated at between 6 and 8 pounds) on a Kastmaster. Jay Delk is pictured holding the fish!

Jeff Hudson used a para hi-vis BWO with an Assassin dropper to get into some nice browns in the river section that leads into PVR. This “two pronged” technique is deadly for shallow riffle water, and fishing pockets behind large mid-stream boulders.
