Be prepared as Fall weather will make it first appearance a few days early this season with wind, rain and maybe a little snow midweek. All lakes are well stocked. It may take you a little longer to get there as road work has begun on the way up to lake Mary. The Lakes Basin road may have some delays during the weekdays . All lakes in the Basin have been well planted with one exception (Horseshoe), with CADFG trout along with Alpers trout. Conditions are great right now with the warm weather, just right to put a tube in the water and kick around and stay cool. Try most of the lakes near the inlets and outlets. The fish like to concentrate near those areas. the million dollar trout stock is coming up so the lake basin will be busy over Labor day Weekend but for the mean time enjoy.

Dry Fly Patterns: Adams, light Cahill, Royal Coachmen, Trude, Cal-Mosqitoes, Sierra Bright Dot. 16-20s

Streamer: Black or olive Wolly Buggers damsel flies. Size 10-12s
