Crowley Lake Perch Fishing Report July 25, 2013

Crowley Lake - Mammoth Lakes, CA (Mono County)

by Crowley Lake Fish Camp

The perch are holding out in that deep water this time of year, you will need to slow troll some small broke back Rapallas, or other small crank baits. Another method is to slow troll a 1/8 oz lead head with a power grub and a croppie nibble.

Remember, you only have 1 more week to get them with bait, after July 31 the lake goes to barbless hooks and no bait. Coming back from the north arm this week I metered a huge school of perch that spanned the entire length of 6 bays. I would start looking there, and work my way over to the Chalk Cliffs area.
