Fishing at Silver Lake this week has been very good due to some timely stocking by DFG and some Alper's trout that were put in yesterday. The weather was much cooler this week which showed in the amount of good looking stringers that came out and some very nice looking 2 to 3 pounders. Angler's were using Salmon egg Red, Gulp Chunky Cheese Garlic and Gulp Alive Pinch worms on the still fishing side of things and we saw some good action with Gold/Red Thomas Buoyants and Panther Martins. We have also seen some consistent action using flies early in the day and latter in the afternoon once the shadows get on the lake. Try using a Grey hackle Peacock, a mosquito, or a Elk's Hare Caddis on the dry fly side and if you like to troll with streamers, we saw some action on Hornbergs, Olive Matukas and Wooly Buggers. 900 Pounds of DFG fish went in the lake again on Monday and in Rush Creek on Tuesday and a nice load of 3 to 5 pound Alper's went in on Friday so there is lots of great fish in the waters.

Fish Of The Week:
Main Photo Above: Ron and Ben Nagele of Fullerton caught some nice fish on Rush Creek
Photo #1: Chris Mahoney of Newbury Park landed a great 2 pound 9 ounce and 2 pound 2 ounce rainbow from the shore of Silver Lake using Pinch Crawlers
Photo #2:Jenna Mahoney, age 9, of Newbury Park caught a great 2 pound 6 ounce Alper's from the shore of Silver using Gulp Alive worms
Photo #3:Justin and Jason Sherman of Corona landed some great trout from the shore of Silver Lake using good old fashioned worms

Happy Fishing and Good Luck!!!
