The fishing season at Pyramid Lake is officially underway, with most fish currently holding deep in the thermocline around 70–80 feet. Boat anglers using downriggers are finding the most success, while jigging heavy spoons and tube jigs can also produce bites. Balanced leeches, balanced minnows, and heavy Woolly Worms are other effective options. Cloudy and stormy weather can provide better fishing opportunities as conditions change. As temperatures continue to cool, fish should gradually move into shallower water, with shoreline fishing expected to improve significantly throughout November.
