The Best Fishing of the Year is Here!
The fall and early winter bring some of the best fly fishing to the Reno Tahoe area every year. Water conditions are in great shape, the fish are very active and there is no one out there! Our Guides are getting clients into some really nice fish both on the surface and below. With no closed season on most local waters the fishing should remain excellent for the next month or so. Call or email the Reno Fly Shop for more details.
Typical fall fishing at the lake. 1 to 2 fish an hour is a good day right now. For anglers who move around and find fish there have been reports of 10 to 20 fish days. The anglers that just fish around the nets area are not doing that well. The South end of the lake has had the best reports with beaches like Wino, Popcorn and Lone Tree all fishing pretty good.
