The fish went even deeper last week with most of the fish holding near the 40ft mark. The flasher/crawler or flasher/powerworm combo is still accounting for most of the fish caught on the troll but some fish were also biting on various needlefish and Thomas Bouyant patterns.

Bait and jig anglers were finding a decent bite at the Gilbert Glacier inlet but the Long and Treasure inlets were a bit on the slow side. A ton of 2lb fish were being caught on Orange Powerworms, Chartreuse Gulp Eggs and Chartreuse Powerbait at the Gilbert Glacier. Jeff & Marianne Krpan managed solid limits of fish to 2lbs using Yellow/Green Turbo Dough.

The lake level is continuing to slowly drop and we've lost about 2 1/2 ft thus far this month. Boats are still clear to launch and we're expecting the launch ramp to be good to go through the end of the month.

Also of note, the Bishop Creek Canyon Fall Classic is just around the corner. Inyo County and the Bishop Chamber of Commerce will be stocking all canyon waters, including the creeks, with Alpers trout including several tagged trout worth up to $300 cash.
