Over the last few days we've had a couple reports from the East Walker, all have been very good! A couple guys only fished a few hours and did very well, up to 12 or 15 fish in just 3 hours or so. Didn't hear about anything huge, but lots of fish up to 14" or so, and a few up to 18" or so. Mostly they were eating nymphs, small copper johns, silver streaks, pt's, as well as a few caddis patterns like fox's poopah. Also had some good catches on lightning bugs and pearl caddis. It seems those fish are pretty grabby these days. I think the fact that there's not too much pressure has really helped out. The fish seem to be very healthy and full of energy.

This last series of snow storms has really helped out the snow pack in the East Walker River Drainage. The newspaper in Carson City reported that the snow pack was at 105% of normal, this is great news compared to the 27% or so we had last winter!!! If we get a few more storms from now until April or even May we could likely be in for a really great summer! It will be nice to not have to worry about the water levels this year!

If you need a guide, or want to book a day on private water, or just need additional information on what's going on, just give us a call! 760-932-7707
