Owens River - Section 3 - Upper (above Crowley) - CA

Master angler Scott Harada had an epic day on the UO. I guided yesterday and we had one rooster of those grades give us the "proverbial fin".

This is the first migratory cutthroat trout we have documented for the spring run in 2018. Told ya they would be here a little early!

Jack Lyons tight to a nice rainbow he nymphed up using crystal eggs. Flows have dropped significantly here moving the trout into the deeper pools only.

Shots taken on 3/7/18. Some of the feeder roads are not advisable to drive on at this time; but it sure is pretty up here!

Ron Nobles braved some brutal weather to get his dance with a couple Crowley Steelhead. Doug Dolan netted this one.

It has been slim pickings on the UO this February, which makes this beautiful male rainbow even more special for Scott Easterling. Scott nailed a few nice ones with Doug Dolan guiding.

Dustin Jordan did well to get this quality fish on the UO. Doug Dolan to the shot.
