The lake is full on June 21st…well, one foot below being full!

The wild flowers here at the resort and along the Woods Lake trail to Lake Winnemucca and the Emigrant Lake trail are dazzling.

Brook trout are being caught at Winnemucca and Emigrant lakes on a small Panther Martin lure with a power bait ball at the head of the lure where it is tied to the line and ½ crawler attached to the treble hook.

Rainbows are being caught at the Woods Lake inlet with a crawler hanging on a bobber.

Shore fishing reports have been good this week: a nice 3 pound German Brown was caught this week on a ¼ oz silver Kastmaster and a 2 pound Mackinaw was caught on a ¼ oz silver and blue Kastmaster by Drew Meteer, Caples Resort Manager.

Planter rainbows have been caught trolling with flashers and a crawler.

Reserve one of our cabins or lodge rooms while there is still some available this summer.

Come up this week and take advantage of our midweek rates in June.
