Fishing Report May 15, 2015
Bait - The fishing pressure has been very light due to Mother’s Day and a series of light winter storms. Inflated night crawler on an 18 inch leader will produce the best result in McGee between the bathroom and 395 or on the drop offs from Sometimes Bay up to Stormy Flats.
Perch - The perch are still hanging out on the deep side of the drop offs around the lake. You can find the bite around 14 feet over at Sometimes Bay and Sandy Point.
Fly Fishing - Fly fishing slowed down a bit due to low water temps. Sandy Point and Big Hilton is where you want to be. Use a large Copper Tiger on top with either a large or small Albino Baron on the bottom. After 10:00 switch to Copper Tigers on the top and bottom.
Trolling – Afternoon and evenings are producing lots of fish at 20 to 30 feet in McGee Bay and up towards Sandy Point. Small Rapalas and Tasmanians have been working. There are a lot of fish right outside the harbor and over by Beaver Cove. An evening troll including Big Hilton the Harbor and Beaver Cove will be productive without making a run across the lake.
Good Luck!
