Fishing has been good. There have been some pretty good Caddis, Yellow Stone, PMD and Beatis hatches with the smaller fish hitting the top, but for the bigger fish, nymphing is the ticket. Try a #16 Bead Head Prince Nymph with a San Juan Worm dropper. Fish the deep runs where the water comes off of a riffle. You will find the bigger fish in the deeper runs and under the cut banks. DFG has been doing a lot of stocking in the river latley, so there are plenty of fish. Great place for the beginner in your group!
