Weather took a downturn and we got 3 days of snow starting last Sunday followed by clouds for 2 days and temps now have been running 48 to 54 degrees. Afternoons have warmed nicely giving anglers some relief from the cold, but it hasn't bothered everyone especially the fish. DFG is still stocking weekly, and the fishing has been great. Backcountry fishing slowed when the cooler weather came in today. Aspens are blowing off some of the trees along the Virginia Lakes Road to the first bridge and that is still sensational. Green Creek road is still on fire, and so are all the areas between 7 and 8000 feet.

Weather for the week:
Sunday: Clear and warm.br> Monday::Clear and warm.br> Tuesday: Clear and warm.
Wednesday: Few high clouds but mostly clear and warm.
Thursday: Clouds moving in around 2pm but 63 degrees in shade
Friday: Few scattered clouds, and warm.
Saturday: Morning breeze blew in clouds and it drizzled in the afternoon.

Lures for the week: Mostly Kastmasters, Cyclones and some jigs.

Bait for the week: Salmon peach power bait and worms are doing the best.

Flies for the rod-benders: Very flashy body olive wooly buggers, Virginia Lakes Special Matuka with or without a over bird's nest, prince nymph or hare's ear. Beadhead soft hackle's as the spider trails are coming off the pine trees into the lake over the meadow.
