Flows are down to 32 CFS. Although very low it is normal for this time of year. Fishing has been really good. Lower flows make it a little tougher on weekend anglers as well as those who do not know the Little Truckee very well. A stealthy approach is a must. Baetis nymphs and midges in size 18 and 20 fished on 5x or 6x leaders either under an indicator or a dry fly is the way to go. The brown trout and kokanee salmon have moved up from Boca Reservoir and the L.T. is full of fish right now. Reno Fly Shop guide Keith Tucker had a client catch a 6 pound brown trout on Monday.

The cooler weather has significantly improved the fishing. Fall is finally here and the fish are very active.
