A resident deer here with an update on things. This coming weekend our campground, store and marina will close for Winter. We will continue our winter cabin rentals as long as weather permits. Fishing is open at the lakes until 11/15. Fishing in the creeks and Walker Rivers are open year round. When there is snow in Bridgeport, there are still lots of fun things to do such as sledding, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and snow mobiling. A few businesses also stay open year round. You can get rooms at Walker River Lodge, Virginia Creek Settlement and Ruby Inn. You can explore the hot springs and old mines. You can tuck away by a fire in a cozy cabin. The general store in Bridgeport stays open and so does Ken’s, Growlers, Shell, Big Meadow Brewing. Our neighbors to the North in Walker also have businesses open and ready to help you with your winter get away. The road crews do an amazing job at keeping highways clear and the winter views in the Eastern Sierra shouldn’t be missed. You can also say trip to the slopes at Mammoth, June and Tahoe. We look forward to seeing you this winter! Feel free to message or email us if you have any questions.
