Water Conditions:
Water temperature is dropping fast with cold nightime temps. McGee Bay has water down to 50 deg in the shallows and out to a beautiful 56-58 out in about 7 ft. The north end is getting back to reasonable temps along Green Banks as well.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches:
For McGee fishing goes from wide open to slow-steady day by day but overall the big attraction is the 20+ inch fish that are prevelent everyday. Stay outside in about 6-8 ft of water where you'l find a mix of sizes and species. Crooked Creek has shut down due to algae but thereis some good action off and on action along Green Banks.

Recommended Flies:
They are still looking for the=2 0samller sizes. Go with dubbed-head gray/black, black or olive Optimidges in size 18 (or smaller if you tie your own). As you go deeper and early you might try a purple zebra or a puple/red Optimidge. If you see any calibaetis on the surface or it slows down at any time, go to a Jensen's Calibaetis. The fry are equal the smallest Punk Perch and, Perfection Perch size, and don't forget the Stillwater Hare if you want to strip just over the weeds on the bottom.

Guides Hint: If you are going to smaller hooks, also go to 6X and play your fish easily. A four DVD copy of the recent Crowley University seminar will be available soon for those who could not attend. This is a reference library you need to ad to your arsenal if you fish the lake.
