Fishing has been fair. The average size trout has jumped significantly over the last two seasons. Larger fish in the 17-22 inch range are starting to show up again more consistently. Insects have been prolific. Midge, mayflies, and damsels are hatching in strong numbers throughout the day. Large leech patterns on sinking lines can often save the day here in the mid-summer heat. Spin fisherman using large dark jigs are also finding some quality fish. 4-wheel drive vehicles with good clearance and off-road tires are recommended.
