Success Lake has held steady near 78 percent of capacity for several weeks, and bass anglers were able to home in on some successful patterns. Finesse baits, jigs, and creature baits worked in 10 to 25 feet of water to fool plenty of fish. Aaron’s Magic, People’s Worm, and Marten’s Madness all did well. Jerks and cranks also scored bites, and a few topwater fish were reported near the bushes and trees. Crappie ate small live minnows and minijigs near the marina, and catfish anglers used dip bait to land fish near sandy flats.
