WE ARE OPEN EVERY DAY AT 6 AM. CLOSING TIME FOR SHORE FISHING IS 6:45PM

The Kids fishing Derby was a huge success. There were over 400 kids and many beautiful trout were taken. Grand Prize winner is eleven year old Zachary Okesson, with a trout weighing in at 2.3 pounds. In the 12-15 year age bracket, Juicy Smith, age 12 and Joe Nelson, age 14 each brought in a 1 lb 14 oz trout and AustinTaylor, age 14 had a 1 lb, 9 oz trout. In the 8-11 year age bracket, Kelly St Martin, age 11 also had a 2.3 pound trout, Hunter Utley, age 10 brought in a 2.0 pounder and Brian Pozos, age 9 had a 1 lb, 11 oz trout. In the 4 to 7 year age bracket, Jacob Catanzaro, age 6 had a 1 lb, 9 oz trout, Jason Wright, age 5 had a 1 lb, 7 oz trout and Blake Conrad, age 6 had a 1 lb, 6 oz trout. The Hearts of Gold Band performed all day and treated the crowd with wonderful music.

Kayaks and canoes are allowed on the Lake until November 1. The charge for kayak and canoe washing is $5.00 per boat.

Best Trout Bait: Power Bait and Nightcrawlers

Best spots: All over the Lake, T-Dock, North Shore, Island, Dike

Notables:
- Jesus Artega of National City caught a 3 pound trout at the Dike, using Power bait and Nightcrawlers.

- Donald Duffy of Chula vista caught 5 trout for a total weight of 6 pounds. the largest fish was 2 pounds. He was using regular night crawlers on the North Shore.

- Don Murphy of San Diego caught an 18 pound, 36" catfish off the T-Dock.

- Jim Bennett of Sera Mesa caught 5 trout for a total weight of 7 pounds. The largest was 1.75 pounds. He was at the Island, using Rainbow Powerbait.

THE FREE FISHING CLASS IS ON SATURDAY AT 10AM. MEET RANGER CHARLIE AT THE LAUNCH RAMP.

THE DECONTAMINATION WASH DOWN IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PRIVATE VESSELS BEFORE A LAUNCH. A FEE IS CHARGED.
