by Tom Loe
Water Conditions: GOOD
As of 3/3 the flow above Hot Creek confluence is holding at 119 CFS. The water is clear and cold.
The road once you leave the pavement it is very muddy.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: GOOD
Look for the fish to be sluggish with the cold water until about 11 am. then the bite is good for about 2-3 hours. The BWO hatches are day to day with Midge hatches every day. Most of the fish are plastered to the bottom, you will need to bring the flies to them. Fish the edges and slow moving water on the bottom and look for sippers in the back currents to try your dries.
