Almanor Lake Fish Report

Lake Almanor - CA (Plumas County)

Trout are stacked in Hamilton Branch but there are very few anglers. Lot of four to five pound rainbows are in the schools. Lot of trolling action near Dorado. Water temperatures are coming down so trout are becoming more active. Best fishing has been early, whether your trolling, or bait fishing. The lake has been flat as glass early this past week, but that changes by late morning. Having lines in the water by 6 a.m. gives you the best opportunity to pick up the tail end of the “Full Moon bite”. Most mornings we have been hooking up about 3 fish before the sun clears Dyer Mountain.  Doug Neal: (530) 258-6732 http://www.almanorfishingadventures.com
