Water temp is in the high 40s and the lake came up four inches because of the storms. This time of year the trout continue to pound the food. Bank fishermen off Christie are doing just fine. Some tossing jigs others dunking bait. Power Bait garlic flavor with half a nightcrawler was the ticket for a couple guys. Chartreuse Power Bait is working off Pikes Point. Naked nightcrawlers also are a good bet.

Most of the fish are holding around 12 fet deep, some down at 24 feet but more were active at 12.

There are still fish off The Springs and Eagle’s Nest to Black Mountain & Miners Point and in all depths of water, including the shoreline. These pods are pretty scattered on the east side too, but there are a lot of them cruising up and down and in and out…quite a few moved in off the Miner’s Point rock pile ledges.  Pike’s Point still has a lot of shakers, but they are finally beginning to mix up and get around to other locations.   Fishing has been pretty good off Pike’s for bait, fly and jig fishermen. It’s just a matter of timing. The fish have been pretty willing to bite. The jetty wall has been fishing pretty well, but one day has been better than the next.  www.fishtightlines.com
