Lake Almanor - CA (Plumas County)

Fishing Pressure has been light. With the dark moon phase this week feeding patterns have held a little deeper into the morning bite and into early afternoon. A few browns have been caught, most off jigs. Best was a 4.5 pound hook jaw. As surface temps are cooling, some fish are lingering in the top 20 feet of water early, but most of the quality marks are from 30 to 45 feet.

Naked crawlers at 30 to 35 feet gets action early. Go to Dodger/crawler combos later. The east basin from Hamilton Branch and Big Springs areas have been producing fish all week. Also the east side of the peninsula, from Rec. 1 to Big Cove is good. Doug Neal: (530) 258-6732 http://www.almanorfishingadventures.com
