Fishing is good on the Truckee if you know where to look

Nice set of double rainbows for Justin from the lone star state of Texas. To bad we missed that once in lifetime brown trout. Fishing is good if you know where to look. Seems like these fish have been on the move lately. One day they're there, next day they're not. This is the time of year when hatches are waning down, caddis, pmds, sallys, etc. Crayfish are on the top of the food list followed by stones. If you get out early and know where to find them you'll run across huge golden stones that hatch in the early morning hours. Midnight stones, no one really talks about them here on the Truckee River, but they're there, trust me.
