The Brookies are starting to spawn and some nice fish are being taken at Kirman Lake

Kirman Lake - Mono County, CA (Mono County)

by Jim Reid

Still getting some good reports from Kirman this week, scud patterns and small leech patterns have been the best thing going lately. It sounds like the brookies have moved into the shallow water near the lagoon to try to spawn so it's been better fishing to move out into deeper water away from the shore. Some cutts have been making a showing that are well over 20 inches and the brookies are ranging from about 12 inches to nearly 19.
