There are still a lot of anglers fishing the L.T. but with higher flows it can handle a little more pressure. There are some fish rising sporadically throughout the day but most fish are being caught nymphing with size 18 and 20 nymphs and midges. There are some hoppers around as well. Flies to try include, baetis, pmd\'s, micro stones, zebra midges and pheasant tails. For hoppers use natural colors in sizes 12 and 14. Long 5x and 6x leaders are a must.

The flows on the Truckee remain great from Truckee down through Reno. In general the best fishing times are in the morning before it gets hot and then again in the evenings as it cools down.
