Water Conditions:

Flows are steady at 149 cfs as of 7-30-09 and water temps continue to rise. Still cool enough to fish.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good

Flows are quite low for this time of year. This is a great thing for us as the river is still easily wad able and holes are quite accessible.
Normally the flows hit as high as 500 cfs this time of year, but our current flow (as of July 14th) is about 150 cfs. I can see the DWP pulling the plug on Crowley Dam any second now, so check current flows before you make the jaunt down here..

Recommended Flies:
Start out fairly early as the temps are much nicer and the fish usually willing. Use some midges and tricos to start. Around mid morning switch to some drowned spinner patterns and enjoy for an hour or two.
As the day goes on don\\\'t get stuck on one pattern. These fish are accustomed to seeing different bugs float past. Make sure to try PMD\\\'s, caddis, and some tiny stoneflies also.

Guides Hint: Drink plenty of water to keep your energy up, at least every fish or two. Get out there early!
