Water Conditions:

Water release has been up and down and at 256 CFS as of 7-9. Be sure and check this one before going as it takes a day or two at steady flow for fish to adjust and start eating again.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Excellent

Fishing continues to be really good. Crowds can be a problem so mid week is the best. Midges and Tricos are prominent in the morning. Starting around 11 AM, there are some PMD\\\'S and caddis. The evening caddis hatch is the best of the day. The late caddis start around 6 PM, and goes until it\\\'s dark. If you fish the evening you may have better luck fishing or trailing a caddis emerger.

RECOMMENDED FLIES:

Dries:
#14-18 elk hair caddis, Cutter's EC Caddis, or parachute caddis. #20-22 bwo dries, #16 pmd dries, #16 ped's #12-14 hoppers.

Nymphs:
Grey, black, olive #18-24 wd-40's, zebra midges in grey or black, silver streaks, disco midges, drowned mayfly spinners, LaFontaine's sparkle pupa, Fox's poopah, Gallatin caddis emergers, BH Deep Six Caddis Pupa, Medallion Midge, Barr\\\'s Trico Emerger, Mitchell\\\'s Split Case PMD

Streamers:
White or grey zonkers, Hornbergs, double bunnies, sculpin patterns.

Guides Hint: The E Walker can be a tricky river. Now that the fishing pressure has caught up to it, catching a lot of bigger fish will not be a "gimme". This is one river where hiring a knowledgeable, local, experienced guide can pay off big time.
