Hot Creek - 4/15/21 Flows Approx 27CFS - Water has been very clear

Rod Size:  #4-#5 Weight

Tippet Size: 5-6X 

Dry Flies: Griffith's Gnat #20-22, Brook's Sprout Baetis #18-20

Nymphs: Zebra Midge #20-22, Hot Spot Midge #20-22, Turbo Midge #16-18, Perdigons, Eurotrash Nymph Brown #16, Eurotrash Nymph Olive #16, Miracle Nymph #20, Black Beauty #20-22, Brassie #18, JuJu Baetis #18, Hogan's S&M Nymph #18, Copper Zebra Midge #20

Fished here briefly this past weekend up at the interpretive site as I needed to clear out the waste line tube. The fish up here are pretty spooky, and I don't blame them as there were at least 7 cars parked there when I showed up. The wind started howling about 30 seconds after I walked down to the water, but a friend of mine was fishing there before I showed up and he said it shut down just about the time I parked. I'll have some more time to get up there this week to get some better information. From what I could gather from him, small midges and caddis emergers were the flies of choice.
