Limits of trout have been caught over the past week all along the shoreline and throughout the marina on various baits such as kastmasters, spinners, mice tails, nightcrawlers and powerbait.

Stripers are still biting on sardines and anchovies along the canal by the entrance booth and the rip rap by the bait shop. Anglers have also been using jerk baits and swimbaits to come across stripers around the lake. The Yellowbar Canyon, Spanish Point, Serrano and around Chumash Island have all been great spots to catch stripers throughout the day on cut baits up to 80 feet deep.

Catfish are also biting cut baits in the coved around the lake mainly chicken liver, mackerel and anchovies

The bass bite is also starting to pick up, biting on crank baits, jerk baits, various swimbaits and soft plastics like roboworms, senkos and jigs.
