East Walker River
The flows on the East have been fluctuating a bit lately, right now it’s sitting at about 50 cfs. The fishing down there has been pretty good in spite of the flows moving up and down. It’s been mostly nymphing but there has been some decent dry/dropper and streamer action from time to time. We’ve had lots of fish in the 12 to 16 inch range reported as well as a few fish that have taped over 20. The Nevada side is also fishing pretty well and we’ve even had a couple good reports from further down in the Elbow section. Some patterns to try include top secret midge, silver streak, rainbow warrior, darth baetis, dark lord, zuddler, dead drift crayfish, Dali Lama, sculpzilla, JJ special, chubby chernobyl, hoppers, para adams.

Sceirine Ranch
The ranch is also still fishing well, dry/dropper rigs have been working very well down there as well as some good streamer action in the mornings and of course good nymph action throughout the day. Give us a call ahead of time if you’d like to book some time on the ranch.

Hunewill Pond
We didn’t get any reports from the pond this week so we’re not exactly sure how it’s fishing, we’ll get you a report as soon as we can in the upcoming weeks.

Bridgeport Reservoir
Several days ago Bridgeport really livened up. The trolling has been the best with boats reporting up to 15 or 20 fish per day. There’s lots of nice 2 to 4 pound browns being caught and most of the anglers we’ve talked to that have been catching them have been releasing them to get bigger for next year! There are also lots of nice rainbows being caught with some of them weighing in at over 6 pounds. We’ve also heard about a few random perch being caught again. The trollers are doing the best with night crawlers, Rapalas and Thomas Bouyants. There has been some fish caught on bait, mostly over near Rainbow Point, they’ve been using inflated crawlers, pinched crawlers, power bait and mice tails.

Kirman Lake
We didn’t hear anything from Kirman this week, we’ll let you know when we get some news.

Twin Lakes
The Twins produced lots of good fish this week as well, with some coming in at over 6 pounds. Bait anglers have been using pinched crawlers, power bait and inflated crawlers. Trollers have been using Rapalas, needlefish, crawlers and Thomas Bouyants. Fly anglers are doing the best with intermediate lines pulling wooly buggers, seal buggers, mini leeches and soft hackles.

West Walker River
We didn’t hear much from the West this week, I’d imagine though that if you get up there and work those small pockets like we talked about last week you should be able to pull some fish, work some small spinners like Panther Martins in the holes or drift your bait or flies through the holes and small pockets where the fish are likely to be hiding and you should have some success.

Virginia Lakes
We didn’t have much news come down from the Virginias this week either, seems like most of the anglers we’ve talked to have been fishing the Twins and Bridgeport lately. If you head up there you could try mice tails, pinched crawlers and inflated crawlers for bait, Thomas Bouyants and Kastmasters for lures and if you’re fly fishing go with wooly’s, matukas and soft hackles.

Random Information
We’ve still been very lucky in the smoke department lately, just a little bit of the stuff creeping over the mountain but not enough to bother anyone. The day time temperatures have been in the 70’s while at night we’ve dipped into the teens a couple times lately. There’s lots of beautiful Fall colors still on the trees but I don’t think they’ll last very long. There’s just about another month left of fishing season for this year so get after it before it’s all over!
