DONNER LAKE

Boat traffic is heavy, which means anglers should only try fishing in the mornings and evenings at Donner Lake. Jigging for macks is still popular here. Anglers should jig for macks in the middle of the lake or by the China Cove area. Anglers focusing on Kokanee should try fishing with flashers and pink hoochies. Shore anglers fishing for rainbow trout should fish with powerbait and worms between Loch Leven Lodge and the boat ramp. Donner Lake is currently at 97% capacity.

BOCA RESERVOIR

The dam work is wrapping up at Boca Reservoir and water levels continue to rise. Watersports and recreational activity are very popular at Boca Reservoir right now, so anglers should only try fishing in the early mornings and late evenings. Shore anglers fishing near the inlet side are getting frequent bites with powerbait and worms. Anglers fishing the deepest parts of the reservoir should be using flashers with worms or wedding rings with worms.  Boca is currently at 45% capacity.

STAMPEDE RESERVOIR

Stampede Reservoir is a popular spot right now to fish for Bass. Bass fishing is consistent throughout the entire lake, but primarily near the dam. Anglers are reporting good size Kokanee suspended around 50 to 60 feet. Shore anglers fishing for trout should try powerbait, inflated nightcrawlers, kastmasters, or worms with a marshmallow.  Stampede Reservoir is currently at 56% capacity.

PROSSER CREEK RESERVOIR

Prosser Creek Reservoir is a great spot for anglers to catch cutthroat trout. Shore anglers fishing for trout should use powerbait or worms with a marshmallow. Trout can also be found fishing the shoreline of the prosser creek inlet with inflated nightcrawlers, kastmasters, rooster tails, and panther martins. If anglers are looking for Smallmouth bass, try fishing the south end of the reservoir or near the dam. Prosser Creek Reservoir is currently at 67% capacity.

JACKSON MEADOWS RESERVOIR

If you’re looking for a big brown trout, then head to Jackson Meadows Reservoir. Anglers are having good success with brown trout using larger lures with worms. Rainbow trout are frequently biting by the dam and west side of the lake. Anybody trolling should try using small brown or rainbow trout rapalas. Anglers should troll for trout around 25 to 40 feet. Anybody shore fishing should try powerbait, inflated nightcrawlers, small lures, or kastmasters.

PYRAMID LAKE

Closed for the season due to COVID-19.
