Despite the cooler water, anglers have been catching a variety of species both from shore and throughout the lake. Stripers have been biting mainly on baits such as Sardines, Lugworms, and Chicken Liver typically bait and wait style. Catfish have also been caught same way using chicken liver or anchovies, normally deep in coves and off rocky points around the lake. Bass have been biting more plastic baits, slowly working the bottom for both largemouth and smalimouth. Weedless setups and worms have been working best both from shore and throughout the lake. We are also expecting a trout plant within the week of November 5th.
