The West is Still Fishing Well

Walker River - West Fork (CA) - Walker, CA (Mono County)

by Jim Reid

The West is still fishing well for both fly and spin anglers right now, the water is low and clear so try to be sneaky when approaching the water so you don’t spook the fish. Bait anglers are using eggs and crawlers, lure anglers are going with rooster tails and panther martins. Fly anglers are doing the best with dry/dropper rigs including hoppers, beetles, ants, humpy’s, stimulators, soft hackles, prince nymphs and copper johns
