Two weeks till Fishmas Opener – can you believe it – almost feels like Summer up here in Bishop with temps in the high 70’s last and predictions of the mid 80’s next week, although it was pretty darn chilly at the Lake yesterday - 27° at 11:00am with a slight breeze. There’s open water showing in the front bay and a few other areas, but there’s still a lot of ice to melt before boats see the Lake.

Lake Sabrina Boat Landing will serve Breakfast from 7:00am to 11:00am and Lunch until 4:00pm on Saturday and Sunday for Opener after that it will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And, yes, there will be homemade pie and ice cream on the weekends. Our store hours are as follows:

Sunday 7:00 to 6:00pm
Monday 8:00 to 6:00pm
Tuesday 8:00 to 6:00pm
Wednesday CLOSED
Thursday 8:00 to 6:00pm
Friday 8:00 to 6:00pm
Saturday 7:00 to 6:00pm

It looks like most the campgrounds in the Bishop Creek Canyon will be open for Opener (not sure about Sabrina or Willow) – I’ll find out this week. Bishop Creek Lodge, Creekside RV Park and Cardinal Village Resort will all be opened for Opener. Parchers Resort opens mid-May.

We’ve got the same crew coming back for the summer, an old face or two and maybe some new ones. Once we get up to the Lake, we’ll post more pictures, info and Opening Day weather predictions.

Hope to see you Fishmas Day, April 30, 2016.
